How to avoid getting arrested in a Detroit Strip Club:
Patrons of Strip Clubs in Detroit have found themselves in criminal predicaments due to a recently new ordinance. Detroit’s City Code Sec. 5-15-7(4) states that “no patron shall knowingly or intentionally touch an employee who appears semi-nude on the premises of a sexually-oriented business.” Additionally, this applies to the employees of a sexually-oriented business as the Ordinance also states that “No employee who regularly appears semi-nude in a sexually-oriented business shall knowingly or intentionally touch a patron or the clothing of a patron on the premises of [the business].”
What does that mean for you?
While in Strip Clubs, Patrons and employees must abide by the law by not knowingly or intentionally touching. This may be harder than it seems which is why patrons or employees of Strip Clubs must be cautious to not engage in activity that will result in criminal activity. The Detroit police are profusely enforcing this ordinance and arresting those who do not abide by law. This results in numerous patrons and employees facing criminal liability as stated in Detroit’s City Code Sec. 5-15-9(a): “A person, business, or entity violating or refusing to comply with any provision of this article shall, upon conviction, be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by imposition of a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days, or both, in the discretion of the court.”
