If you are facing criminal charges, we know that the thought of conviction, imprisonment or a criminal record can be terrifying and overwhelming. You need a criminal defense attorney who has the experience, understanding, and personal attention you deserve. Having handled hundreds of Criminal and Traffic cases in the 22nd District Court, our attorneys are familiar with the City Attorney, Wayne Counties’ Prosecutors, and the Judges of the 22nd District Court. This Court is one of 121 District Courts in the State of Michigan. It is presently the busiest single judge Court and its judge handles the heaviest docket of any state judge in Michigan. The Chief Judge’s request for a second judgeship was recently denied for a third time by the Michigan Supreme Court, yet, the 22nd District Court remains committed to administering justice, providing equal access and affording every litigant a fair opportunity to be heard.
The 22ND District Court, was served by the Hon. Judge Sylvia James, as of November 2013, the 22nd District Court has been presided over by the Honorable Sabrina L. Johnson at 26279 Michigan Avenue. The court currently does not use a magistrate. Through our experiences and the relationships we have built with the 22ND District Court, our attorneys can anticipate the Judge’s responses, understand how the Prosecutor will want to proceed, and with that knowledge can negotiate the best deal for our clients in efforts of removing as much uncertainty from the legal justice system as possible.
We understands the stresses you are experiencing and our goal is to remove as much of it from the process as possible.
